  1. 1 Enter Jack Cade and the rest, and strikes his staff on London Stone.
  2. 2 CADE.
  3. 3 Now is Mortimer lord of this city. And here, sitting upon London Stone,
  4. 4 I charge and command that, of the city’s cost, the Pissing Conduit run
  5. 5 nothing but claret wine this first year of our reign. And now
  6. 6 henceforward it shall be treason for any that calls me other than Lord
  7. 7 Mortimer.
  8. 8 Enter a Soldier, running.
  9. 9 SOLDIER.
  10. 10 Jack Cade! Jack Cade!
  11. 11 CADE.
  12. 12 Knock him down there.
  13. 13 [_They kill him._]
  14. 14 DICK.
  15. 15 If this fellow be wise, he’ll never call ye Jack Cade more. I think he
  16. 16 hath a very fair warning. My lord, there’s an army gathered together in
  17. 17 Smithfield.
  18. 18 CADE.
  19. 19 Come then, let’s go fight with them. But first, go and set London
  20. 20 Bridge on fire; and, if you can, burn down the Tower too. Come, let’s
  21. 21 away.
  22. 22 [_Exeunt._]
