- 1 RICHARD.
- 2 Now, Clifford, I have singled thee alone.
- 3 Suppose this arm is for the Duke of York,
- 4 And this for Rutland; both bound to revenge,
- 5 Wert thou environed with a brazen wall.
- 6 CLIFFORD.
- 7 Now, Richard, I am with thee here alone.
- 8 This is the hand that stabbed thy father York,
- 9 And this the hand that slew thy brother Rutland;
- 10 And here’s the heart that triumphs in their death
- 11 And cheers these hands that slew thy sire and brother
- 12 To execute the like upon thyself;
- 13 And so have at thee!
- 14 They fight. Warwick comes; Clifford flies.
- 15 RICHARD.
- 16 Nay, Warwick, single out some other chase;
- 17 For I myself will hunt this wolf to death.
- 18 [_Exeunt._]
