- 7 If ever I return to you again,
- 8 I’ll bring you comfort.
- 9 GLOUCESTER.
- 10 Grace go with you, sir!
- 11 [_Exit Edgar._]
- 12 Alarum and retreat within. Enter Edgar.
- 13 EDGAR.
- 14 Away, old man, give me thy hand, away!
- 15 King Lear hath lost, he and his daughter ta’en:
- 16 Give me thy hand; come on!
- 17 GLOUCESTER.
- 18 No further, sir; a man may rot even here.
- 19 EDGAR.
- 20 What, in ill thoughts again? Men must endure
- 21 Their going hence, even as their coming hither;
- 22 Ripeness is all. Come on.
- 23 GLOUCESTER.
- 24 And that’s true too.
